Halloween was very busy this year! It was the busiest for us yet! The kids had a great time--they were able to dress up in their costumes 3 times! Cami was a witch, Jenna was an ever-excited cheerleader, and Hayden was a cow . . .
The Saturday before Halloween, we were invited to a Halloween birthday party for our neighbor. It was a lot of fun! They had holiday appropriate food and games for the kids. Then, on Monday, there was an Elder's Quorum party--we had chilli and scones and carved pumpkins. And, of course, there was Halloween! The kids had so much fun that day! We made it to Cami's school for the parade--Jenna walked around like a big girl with Cami and made a new friend with one of the girls in Cami's class. We stayed for the party as I was in charge of one of the activities. It really seemed like utter chaos in that classroom! However, the kids had a great time--and that, of course, is all that matters! Before trick-or-treating we had dinner in a pumpkin and we ate some of the pumpkin itself, which we haven't ever tried, but it was very yummy! And then there was trick-or-treating . . .
Cami and Jenna knew what to do and they couldn't get enough of it, but Hayden was so funny to watch. He would get out of the van and hold either mom's or dad's hand on the way to the door, but once he figured out he was going to get treats, he would hold our hand for just a second and then shake his hand loose and run for the door! It was so funny! My favorite was watching him run because of the back of his cow costume!
All in all, we all had a good time! It was fun to dress the kids up and spend time with them!
