Perspective...

Okay so a little over a week ago (I think that's how long ago it was???), our nephew was in an accident. He was climbing trees with his brothers and fell...onto a new branch coming out of the ground...and the branch went through him, damaging his liver and bruising his insides and coming short of his heart by 2 cm. We are so thankful that he is okay, but he has a long road ahead of him.

Between this and the fact of having a new baby, I have been learning to let things go--the messes will STILL be there later, it is more important to spend time with the ones I love most--they won't be little forever! How grateful I am for good, helpful, silly kids to brighten my life and help me to learn important lessons. I am grateful for life experiences to help us to be better and to recognize what is truly important--the people, not the things.

I am so grateful for a new perspective!

Wow! That is so sad! I hope that his recovery is fast.

You know I need to remember to let go! I have this mentality that everything has to be perfect. Doesn't always work out that way does it?

The pictures are adorable!

So glad to be in contact with you again! Love yah

Oh my gosh...that is so sad. I sure hope things go well for your little nephew!

And I agree, it's important to remember what is really important in life! I saw this saying once that goes something like this: "Pay attention to the little things in life, someday you will look back and realize that they were really the big things."

Isn't it sad that it takes something so scary for us to look at life the way we always should? What a lucky little guy!
