Visit from LaUrS

It's been a few weeks now, but my sister, Laurie, came for a visit over Labor Day weekend. It was so much fun to have her here--it has been a long time since we've spent time together--just us and no other family. First off, thanks Laurs for coming and spending your weekend with us!
***Friday night we had dinner and watched part of a movie. The kids had so much fun listening to Aunt Laurie reading to them. We had just gone to the library that day, so Hayden kinda watched her wearily at first--not too sure what to think about her silly voices and noises! But he kept asking her to read to him for the rest of the weekend!
***Saturday we took the kids to the new playground at Tautphaus Park. We took a pinic with us and went to play! There are some fun toys at the park--a rocking boat, some musical instruments, and what is a park without slides and swings?!! It was a lot of fun! Next we went to get an ice cream cone--it was a nice, hot day! And before we went home, we went to feed the ducks and walk a little bit on the greenbelt. While we were feeding the ducks this couple walked past and yelled at us not to feed the ducks--"you're going to kill them all--they didn't grow up eating bread...didn't you read the sign?!" Dang tree huggers! We still had a great time and just shook our heads and laughed. We went home and while I made dinner, Laurie and the kids played hide and seek--and scared each other--I loved listening to the girls "Laurie, come out! You're going to scare us, and we don't want you to scare us!"
***Sunday was a great day at church, even though Laurie had a rough Sacrament meeting, and we went home and took naps!!! Yay for naps! We found out that Brittani and Sara Woofinden were coming down for school that day and we invited everyone over for some dinner--it was soooo much fun to see everyone! Come again please!
All good things come to an end, so we said goodbye...until next time, of course! Thanks for a great time everyone!
