Merry Christmas!
Christmas was a lot of fun around here this year! It was a little mixed up since Ben had to work, but we had a great time anyway! On Christmas Eve we normally have a big turkey dinner with family, but we decided to stick with our own little family this year and have a simple, quiet dinner together. We had ham, cheesy potatoes, rolls and green beans, and yummy cheesecake for dessert. Then we read the Christmas story and watched The Grinch. Oh, and earlier on that day, we let the kids open one gift. They chose Grandpa and Grandma Bleazard's gifts. What fun! Christmas morning, the kids were up before Ben left for work. As I was laying in bed, I was cracking up as I heard Hayden sing, "I got two candy canes, na na na na na na!" So funny! I guess we just need to give him a candy cane to make him happy next year! ;) Anyway, we opened stockings and played with Santa gifts. I went back to bed, the kids went and watched Monsters Vs Aliens. Ben left for work. Around 7, the kids woke me up because they were arguing, so back to bed they went! When we got up, we went out to Hamer to spend the day with the Yearsleys. We ate, opened presents, and played. We hurried home before daddy got here so we could clean up and get back into jammies and be ready to open more presents. The kids make Christmas so much fun! I love watching their faces as they open their gifts! We had a great Christmas! But our Christmas didn't end on Christmas day. We had a party at our house on the day after with the Yearsley's--ALL of the siblings were here. We did a fun white elephant exchange with the adults, the kids did a little gift exchange and decorated sugar cookies and played with play doh and just plain 'ol played! Thank you everyone for the gifts and for spending time with us! I just love this time of year! We have been so blessed this past year and are so blessed to have the gospel in our lives! I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and for the opportunity we have to focus on him! We hope you all had a happy and safe holiday season!
