Surgery . . .

Dallie has been battling ear infections for the past few months (meaning the last 4-5 months...in a row...and almost exactly to the day!). So it was time to do something about it--and that meant getting bi-lateral tubes put in her ears. She and I got up early that morning (June 9) to be at the hospital by 7. She had to wear a teeny tiny hospital gown and they gave her a teddy bear. She got a bit restless while we waited for her to go into surgery (she couldn't have anything to eat or drink until after the surgery), so we walked the halls, read books, and watched cartoons. The actual surgery only took about 10-15 minutes. I was so relieved to see her afterward! She was just a little bit cranky after, but a little better after eating. She did so well! She has been so happy since then--I wonder if it is like being in a whole new world for her???
