Finishing October

I have been such a slacker lately when it comes to the blog! I've been trying to get some projects out of the way before Shaylee arrives and, as a result, other things have been left undone. So without further adieu, here is what happened the rest of October.

First off, it was Drug-Free week at school, and one day the girls got to participate in Crazy Hair Day. I always looked forward to this as a kid, so we did our best to make their hair silly!

Ben went hunting with his dad and got his deer! (The smallest one known to man--I'm quoting him right now...these are NOT my words--major disclaimer here!).

Then, we had the Halloween carnival at the school. The kids had a blast! I didn't have the camera because Ben took it hunting--and he got his elk the same day! Woo hoo! So we have meat in the freezer.

Halloween is always such a fun holiday--especially for the kids! They had fun choosing a costume and I had fun helping them dress up this year. Cami was a vampire, Jenna was Hannah Montana Barbie, Hayden was Spiderman, and Dallie was a kitty. We took them trick-or-treating to a few houses and let them all pick out a bag of candy at the store. Yep, you read that right. Then we watched movies and hung out together as a family. It was a lot of fun!
