Memorial Day Weekend

We had a fun time over Memorial Day weekend spent with our Yearsley family. We spent Saturday afternoon, Sunday and Monday together. Almost all of the family was here, but Matt and Janae already had other fun plans! (We missed you!) And one highlight of the weekend was meeting Jon's girlfriend, Jacey. I think we all liked her a lot--she's a sweet, genuine person.

Monday was the main event: branding calves, BBQ, & lots of games!
First off, though, I took a couple pics of the kids--hoping for a good one, but this is the best there was! ;)

We headed down to the corrals to brand the big 'ol calves--and thank heavens we had some manpower there!

And after we branded, we had to have the traditional treats--a candy bar and a "shmode".


We attempted a family picture or two, but they didn't quite turn out how I was hoping...
Then we went back to grandma and grandpa's for a BBQ and games.
