Guess Who's 5 . . .

On January 23, 5 years ago, this handsome little boy was born.
Hayden has been such a joy to have in our home! He is happy, crazy, and ALL BOY! Lately, he likes to ask any question he can think of regarding animals--it's quite entertaining at times, and other times it is draining! He loves to color and draw and play hunting. We love him to pieces!
He requested, big surprise, macaroni and cheese for birthday dinner. So we made just that, along with popcorn chicken and broccoli. Then we had some yummy ice cream cake--car ice cream cake, to be exact.
And, of course, there were presents! What's a birthday without a present, right...and whoever gets to open them alone?
He got money, a farm play set, a transformer, coloring/drawing stuff, and new chaps and a vest. What a great day for a little boy!


Oh, and I almost forgot, that for preschool, he got to take birthday treats. I told him I would make cupcakes and asked him what he wanted...he said yellow cake with yellow frosting. :) I ended up doing white cake, but got the yellow frosting right. I found this idea online--easy and so cute! Roly Poly Olie cupcakes!
