And the REST of October

October was a fun month! Fall is becoming my favorite season more and more these days. I enjoy the change in the weather and I LOVE the fall colors! It is simply beautiful to see the transformation of nature in the fall!

Our first snowfall of the season was on October 6. It snowed and melted pretty quickly, but the kids had a great time playing in the snow while it was here.




The big kids had red ribbon week and enjoyed dressing up all week long...our favorite is crazy hair day. Cami had a nest in her hair, Jenna had wired braids everywhere and Hayden had spikes on the sides instead of on top. Pretty cRaZy!



Shaylee turned 9 months old in October. She is so dang cute with her vampire teeth! I tried to get some pictures of her...this is the best I got. I love her big vampire smile! She is such a sweet little girl and we are so blessed to have her in our home! She is crawling...slowly, but getting around.



Somewhere in here we took family pictures. Our good friend Kari called me up one day to say it would be the perfect day...so I scrambled around trying to find something for everyone to wear. I would have chosen more color had I done it over, but I do like the way they turned out.
We decorated a pumpkin for our fall ward party. The kids thought it was great! (And I'm glad because we didn't end up carving pumpkins this year. :( boo!). Cami wanted to enter a pie into the pie contest...so I helped her...and SHE WON!!! She got an apron, a pie plate and a pastry cutter. Good job, Cami!!!

And we can't forget Halloween! We all got dressed up (except dad, who was at work)--I dressed up in my hawaiian get-up--I had a long platinum blond wig, a grass skirt, a seashell bra (worn over my hot pink shirt), and a colorful leigh (sorry! no pics of me). Cami was a butterfly fairy, Jenna was a scary witch (just ask Dallie--as soon as we painted her face green, Dallie wouldn't go near her!), Hayden was a pirate, Dallie was Cinderella (or a princess as she insisted on being called), and Shaylee was a black cat. Then we headed to the trunk-or-treat and on to some trick-or-treating. We had a great time!
